So Friday night, September 3rd, I tottered on down to the trusty 'ole Grande for another evening of Night Eats Day music mania...
The line up included Pink Fangs, New Navy (who I am a huge fan of) and Ghostwood. Think indie rock with electro twist. The music was good, the drinks flowing (always pretty cheap) and the place seemed to be overrun with an abundance of nerds. There was a decent crowd but not too many to make the dance floor a can of sardines. For me the highlight was New Navy. Their smooth blend of haunting guitar riffs, pounding bass, exciting drums and the keening vocals of lead singer Ben, make it impossible to keep your feet still. Their performance is always slick and never a let down. Some new tunes are extending their set nicely and i wouldn't be surprised if we see them on the festival circuit very soon!
